Abstract

      The purpose of the case study The role of massmedia in public integrating of BM is to analyze the visibility of the Municipal Library and the activities of this institution as a communicator at community level, between 2008- 2012. The fi rst important aspect, identifi ed in the integration process in public space, is the important favorable role of media that BM knew how to develop it. The model adopted by BM is featured by actions directed to approach the media to the interests of the library. Communication and integration mechanism in public space, adopted by BM, is part of the development of public image in the professional fi eld and in the community. The research has enabled us to emphasize the positive and negative aspects of BM integration in public space and make recommendations to remedy the negative examples and develop existing ones.
