COMPETENȚE PENTRU VIITOR: REFLECȚII PE MARGINEA CERCETĂRII NEVOILOR DE FORMARE PROFESIONALĂ A BIBLIOTECARILOR

Abstract

               We are present at the fundamental transformations of the libraries, both on a global and national level, of the Republic of Moldo- va. Several foresight studies, launched lately, mention cardinal changes, both at the level of skills and in the professions, for the future. Regarding the disappearance of librarian, documentary and archivist professions, the main arguments are the digitization of all libraries and archives - these infodocumentary institu- tions provide remote access to any information 24 hours, 7 days a week. Librarians and archivists in their current formula will disappear, but document management will be based on network solutions.

              Creativity will become one of the first three skills of specialist staff. The avalanche of new products, new technologies and new ways of working demand more creativity in order to benefit from these changes. In order to understand the professional competencies required for librarians from different types of libraries, as well as to better understand the trends and needs of professional training of the infodocumentary specialists in the Republic of Moldova, the Association of Librarians of the Republic of Moldova (ABRM) realized at the end of the year 2015 the Research Studying the training needs of library specialists.
