         The social media influence considerably and expand the library image area, the field of activity. Social media is more than a platform, rather than social networks – is a major cultural transformation in the field of librarianship, affected the library image communication module, the promotion of resources, services and products and the connection with users. The author lists the benefits of using social media for libraries, reviews the good aspects and highlights common mistakes, identifies factors of efficient use of social media in order to corroborate the relationship with users.
